Exemplar Australian Shiraz - 3 Bottles

Fine dining restaurants employ sommeliers, who decide which wines go onto their wine lists. These people are highly trained and experienced. There are numerous sommeliers on judging panels at wine shows around the country.

Getting your wine into a fine dining restaurant is a daunting task. It can be uncomfortable to sit in front of a sommelier, who is tasting your wine and is about to give you an opinion as to whether or not your wine will go on their wine list.

Today’s sommeliers are making up a significant proportion of wine show judges. Many have completed the Len Evans Tutorial and more and more are becoming qualified as internationally recognized Masters of Wine.

We are fortunate to have our wine in a number of fine dining restaurants. Sommeliers have the choice of stocking the best of the best. It is a great feeling when they choose to stock Exemplar Shiraz.

MCLAREN VALE SHIRAZ

“Made by Walter Clappis from his own, biodynamic McLaren Vale vineyard, this is another fine example of contemporary Australian wine making. Bearing the hall marks of its Heathcote brother, the McLaren Vale offers fruit purity and concentration. It is similarly made in a bold style with judicious use of oak and balance that will ensure the wines aging
potential and enjoyment for years to come.

Right now the 2010 McLaren Vale Shiraz has lifted aromas of black berry and black cherries and a hint of liquorice. Dark fruits are also evident on the palate which is decidedly velvety and plush.

I anticipate this wine will continue to evolve and offer wonderful drinking for the next ten years.”
